training

I went for a 35 mile training ride today. The bike was fully loaded and I had everything I intend to carry with me for the trip. I did ok, it was hilly here but nothing too crazy. I already got to see a bunch of hawks and vultures up close as well as a coyote that was napping in the sun. I know it was napping because it stretched as I passed. This whole thing will be harder than I thought but it seems doable.

1st for everything

this is the first time i have been able to post into a blog from a cell phone. It took nearly 3/4 of my battery to be able to navigate to this point and I am not sure that I will be able to do it again but if all goes well (that never happens for me) I should be able to kepp afairly regular schedule of updates from the road. I must ask right from the start for all to forgive me my spelling mistakes as I am trying to type on a keypad the sixe of a pack of gum and my screen is matchbox. At least I can update on occassion. Tonight I sleep in my hammock/tent to try it out. fun fun.
